Partner Agency Representation

The partnership is made is up representatives from the three statutory safeguarding partners:

  • Bury Local Authority
  • NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group
  • Greater Manchester Police

In addition, there are representatives from other relevant partners in Bury that form part of the Business Groups and Sub Groups. Relevant partners include Education providers such as schools, colleges and academy trusts, the Education and Learning department of Bury Council, CAFCASS Public Health, Community health, mental health and secondary care services, delivered by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, The National Probation Service, Community Rehabilitation Company, Six Town Housing, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, the Greater Manchester Drug and Alcohol Partnership, the Voluntary Community and Faith Alliance, the Community Safety Partnership, Bury Youth Offending Team and Bury Healthy Young Minds.

BISP Member One-to-One sessions with the Independent Chair

Each year the Independent Chair of BISP holds a one-to-one session with each BISP member. 

The purpose of these discussions is to:

  • Discuss the progress being made with the work of BISP
  • Discuss Individual and agency contribution to the work of BISP
  • Highlight good practice
  • Raise any issues and concerns

BISP Business Unit

Kathy Batt is the Independent Chair of the Safeguarding Partnership and she is supported by a team of staff which includes a Business Manager, Learning and Development Officer, Quality Assurance and Performance Officer, Senior Administrator and an Administration Support Worker.
